What about
of Heligoland, the new album from Massive Attack , released almost 7 years to the day after the 100th unsurpassable Windows ? There or the previous one, and Mezzanine, enveloped the listener on a trip neurasthenic and bright, the new album just to create an atmosphere, lack of scale and I find rather erased guests (though not for lack of have stacked the odds their side ( Martina Topley-Bird, Tunde Adebimpe (TV On the Radio ) e t Damon Albarn , officiating in all securities a little warm - what a pity to leave Paradise Circus single ...).
Fortunately, the faithful Horace Andy , saves the whole of anemia by putting on his familiar incantations Girl I Love You, which, together with the already known Splitting The Atom and beautiful conclusion Atlas Air, the gems of the disc.
How to hide my disappointment after waiting? After a deliciously poisonous Mezzanine, a 100th Windows poisonous, two discs with the chilling power of the melodies has never wavered, Heligoland seems to happen with one step behind. This is not a bad album per se, it's still worthy of a group the likes of Massive Attack, and perhaps will reveal there age. But for now, I have not felt the slap of Third Portishead, and this disc seems several shades below past glories.
visual side, I am not a fan either of the kit, but it seems to be fashionable at the moment, the ugly pockets, see Hot Chip and Yeasayer (already customary due, it's true, but it becomes worrying!). We can at least acknowledge the continuity with Windows 100th, which was still much more fitting with the mood of the disc.
